Detailed Guide to Registering for the BCS Exam Successfully

The highly coveted BCS examination is one of the widely recognized exams in Bangladesh, providing civil service jobs under the government. Step 1: Visit the Official Website

To begin your BCS application, visit the BPSC portal: www.bpsc.gov.bd. This is the only portal for BCS exam announcements and applications. Avoid from unofficial websites.

Step 2: Download the Circular

Find the latest BCS exam circular under the relevant section. The circular contains key information, such as applicant guidelines, application deadlines, examination syllabus, and other vital instructions.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Thoroughly review the guidelines, which include age limits, educational qualifications, and citizenship requirements. The usual age limit is within the range of 21–30 years for general candidates, but modifications are offered for specific groups such as freedom fighter family members or disabled individuals.

Step 4: Register Online

Navigate to the official application form (Form 1). Enter all mandatory fields, such as your personal information, academic qualifications, and job preferences. Double-check for any discrepancies. Providing false information can lead to disqualification.

Step 5: Upload Documents

You must upload a latest copyright-sized photograph (dimension of 300x300 pixels, file size below 100kB) and your signature (dimension of 300x80 pixels, file size below 60kB). Verify these comply with the requirements mentioned in the circular.

Once the fee is paid, you will get a confirmation SMS with a payment reference ID. Keep this ID for future reference. Log back into the application portal to confirm the payment status.
